![]() ![]() To acknowledge the ways my view has changed, and to advance the field, I co-authored a second book, Body Respect: What Conventional Health Books Get Wrong, Leave Out, or Just Plain Fail to Understand about Weight, with Lucy Aphramor. I’m honored to be part of so many people’s journeys and I am so grateful – and privileged – to be able to do this work.Īs proud as I am of the book, I’m also aware of some of its shortcomings, including some of the ways in which it transmits my unexamined privilege and does damage. I’m proud to hear ongoing stories from people who tell me the book saved their life, or invigorated their professional practice, inspiring a much more rewarding path. I’m proud that the book has achieved what the publishing world calls Bible status, meaning that sales have been consistently high since release. It’s been over a decade since the second edition of Health at Every Size: The Surprising Truth about Weight, was published. ![]()
